Drug & Alcohol Testing

IEveryone holding a commercial license must, in addition to regular biannual (sometimes more often) examinations, undergo random Drug & Alcohol testing. This is done by joining what is known as a Consortium. If you are not part of a consortium, we can enroll you in ours. Depending on your occupation, a percentage of those employees much be tested each year. As an example, 25% of truck drivers must be tested on a yearly basis. So you may not be picked one year and picked twice the following year. We manage the consortium and contact you when you are chosen for testing. The drug testing involves a urine sample where we test for 9 drugs including cocaine, marijuana, opioids and amphetamines. Alcohol testing involves breathing into a breathalizer. Simple tests that only take a few minutes.
