DOT Physicals & Exams
As you know anyone holding commercial licenses of trucks, busses, boats, and planes plus pipefitters, all require regular health examinations. These examinations are indepth and include a complete health history, blood pressure, pulse, oxygen saturation, listening to your heart and lungs, palpation of the abdomen for enlarged organs or growths, peripheral artery pulses in your arms and legs, vision acuity and color blindness, hearing, Urine analysis for blood, protein and glucose is included which could reveal diabetes, kidney, intestinal and digestive issues. If findings indicate that other testing such as pulmonary function (lungs), more extensive hearing, drug and alcohol are needed, they can be performed on the same visit in our facility. Hence the name 1 STOP DOT PHYSICALS & TESTING!
We understand that time spent in other doctors' offices or labs, means time away from your job. Our Occupational Medicine practice is constituted on minimizing the time you will spend in our office.
When you call for an appointment, we will immediately send you the paperwork via fax or email. You complete your health history online and send it back to us so there will be no paperwork once you get to the office. You are ready to be examined and discharged. We will also give you the opportunity to save your health history so when you return for your next examination, you only have to update your information! If you have a concerning health issue, you may require clearance or a referral to a specialist. We will provide you with clearnace letters that you give to your specialist to complete and then you return to us.
There are several important things you need to know that differentiates us from other certified medical examiners. First there is no one who provides more thorough examinations and testing and manages the health of you and your fellow employees better than our staff. Secondly unlike most other medical examiners, we provide comprehensive testing to make your visits to us much more productive and less time consuming. So instead of going to one office for your physical, another for alcohol testing, another for urine analysis and still others for respiratory and hearing if necessary, WE DO IT ALL!!
